Regen City Company mission Regen City is an ecosystem builder for nature-positive solutions and thriving urban futures. Through reimagined gatherings and events, we spotlight regenerative innovators, enhance nature connectedness and create opportunities for active participation. Inspired by living systems thinking, we aim to spark a movement for regenerative cities where communities and ecosystems flourish together. Reinforcing this work, Regen City also operates as a collective of fractional experts who partner with nature tech innovators. We bring significant expertise and strategic insight across marketing, operations, product to help regenerative solutions scale – and become the norm. Visit website Co-creator and Director 2024 – present As one of Regen City’s co-creators, I spend my time connecting the dots between nature tech innovators, regenerative solutions companies, non-profits, and community leaders who are all working toward the same goal: thriving, nature-positive cities. I love designing and hosting gatherings that aren’t your typical networking events. Instead, we create experiences that genuinely connect people with nature, innovation, and each other. These events bring together local communities, forward-thinking businesses, and organisations who want to be part of the regenerative movement. On the product side, I lead workshops and end-to-end design projects using living systems thinking. These are typically short-term, high-impact engagements where we help organisations reimagine their approach to creating regenerative solutions. Climate community Company mission A climate education and community platform, Terra.do has a mission to get 100 million people working in climate by 2030. The platform highlights its flagship Learning For Action fellowship course as well as dedicated climate solutions courses, such as Climate Farm School and Digital Product Decarbonization, and an active job board.  The ambassador program aims to nurture and grow local communities in cities across the globe, connecting previous and current fellows as well as job seekers. Visit website Local ambassador 2023 – ongoing I set up monthly meet-ups that have an intentional, impact-driven focus. Larger tentpole events bring together likeminded individuals from different communities where they can discuss their climate passions and solutions or simply connect with each other. We also have an active WhatsApp community group where members can seek advice, offer support, ask questions, share stories and so much more.   Monthly meet-ups I organise monthly meet-ups to encourage community members to connect and discuss climate solutions, at times in conjunction with other local climate communities. Goals: Encourage connections between community members. Bringing together climate professionals, Terra.do alumni and current cohorts with jobseekers to share advice and tips to transition into the climate space (Climate Career Weeks). Learning about climate-related topics. Group outings to local events. Taking action in local areas. Events range from mixers in a local venue to a more structured approach: Informal social meet-ups, mixers and dinners. Volunteer opportunities. Climate Party

Climate Party

Operations

Climate movement Organisation mission The UK’s newest political party aims to achieve zero carbon emissions by 2030. The Climate Party believes businesses can be at the forefront to decarbonise Great Britain with localised market-based solutions. The party sets out to put political pressure on the larger parties, with the aim to implement world-leading environmental policies while benefiting the economy through the Clean Industrial Revolution. Visit website Head of Operations and Digital Communications May 2023 – August 2024 Integral part of the national campaign leadership team to define strategic direction on policy framework, robust operations plan and communications strategy.  Digital communications: Ensure leading digital presence such as website, internal portal, newsletters, bulletins are up-to-date and easily accessible. Operations: Coordinate marketing / campaign assets and technical setup across the party. Documentation: Delivery of templates, toolkits, information packs and processes. Documentation Process improvements Goal: I worked closely with the Head of Business Development to streamline processes, including efficient delivery management. Actions: I created an organised way to analyse data across the party’s digital footprint, including website, social media, volunteers and email distribution. I reorganised the internal Google Drive and put processes in place in terms of storage, organisation, member access, member collaboration and restricted access to confidential information. Result: Climate Party now has a clearly set out process of handling a person’s data, including timelines of when this data must be deleted in order to protect said data. Strategic & operational documents Goal: Create documentation laying out the strategy, internal operations and guidelines for candidates, volunteers and fundraisers. Action: I created documentation that outlines the party strategy, national and local operational guidelines, including how-to guides, and packs for various audiences. Result: Clear documentation has helped candidates, volunteers and fundraisers to better align themselves with the party mission, vision, values and policies, be better informed and improved efficiency in operating independently. Data retention policy and schedule Goal: The party has various ways of collecting people’s information that is stored in 2 separate places. There isn’t a coherent way in how this data is used and retained. Actions: I created a data retention policy and accompanying schedule that sets out the Climate Party’s legal requirements, PII that can be held, when the information can be used, data retention review, archival and deletion of the data and subject access request process. Result: Climate Party now has a clearly set out process of handling a person’s data, including timelines of when this data must be deleted in order to protect said data. Digital Operations Documents portal Goal: I recognised there was a gap in how information was distributed to persons interested in helping the party (outside of the website), how they can get involved and what actions they can take. Actions: I created an ‘internal’ portal that contains the party’s mission, values and strategy as well as relevant documents and a toolkit for candidates, volunteers and fundraisers. Result: Those who are interested in joining the party in whatever form are provided with a link to access all materials. This has resulted in a reduction of administrative tasks with each new joiner, who can be effective from the start. Website maintenance Goal: Update the website content to keep it relevant and find a way to easily follow up with interested volunteers. Actions: 1. Update the news section and added newsletter archive.2. Simplified the process of obtaining volunteer information and created workarounds with Squarespace limitations.3. Reviewed digital carbon footprint and outlined process to reduce costs and carbon emissions. Result: 1. Visitors to the website can stay up-to-date with the Climate Party’s messaging. 2. A clear process is now in place to follow up with volunteers using an application form and a clean hand-off process that is linked to the CMS database.3. Outlined steps to move the website to a regional host that uses 100% renewable energy and a more energy efficient CMS, with the aim to reduce the website’s footprint from an E carbon rating and 0.71g of CO2 output (dirtier than 65% global webpages) to a B rating. Source Website carbon calculator Website creation Goal: Create website for Climate Party leader. Action: I transferred his domain and web hosting services to a local host, run on renewable energy. I then created a website using WordPress taking into account the energy data transfer of the contents of the website. Result: Moving to a 100% renewable energy domain host has reduced the carbon footprint by at least 9%. The website emits 0.57g of CO2/view, which is cleaner than 43% of pages tested via Website Carbon. The Climate Party leader can now use the website in his election campaigns, which contains information on his past experiences, what he stands for and ways to contact him. Communication and Operations National candidates support Goal: Onboard candidates during General Election 2024 and ensure they have all materials they need for a successful campaign. Actions: Technical: Set up Climate Party email addresses, provided access to the internal portal, created webpages, aided with any technical enquiries. Campaign: Created and coordinated campaign material including t-shirts, leaflets, badges, rosettes in a timely manner. This includes leaflets for the Restore Nature Now march in June 2024. Communication: Updated candidates with campaign information, party line, manifesto and research documentation. Worked with policy advisor and political researcher to get all required documents completed. Aligned with copywriter to send out regular newsletters during election campaign. Result: Successfully supported 12 candidates during the General Election and followed up with post-election retro to gather feedback. Canvassing Goal: Canvassed during the July 2023 Uxbridge and South Ruislip by-election and ensured website was updated in the run-up to the by-election. Actions: Leaflet drops to roughly 200 households in an afternoon and interacted with potential voters. Joined the count on the night of the vote. Result: Obtained a small number of votes and learned more about the election process.
