Mission

A climate education and community platform, Terra.do has a mission to get 100 million people working in climate by 2030. The platform highlights its flagship Learning For Action fellowship course as well as dedicated climate solutions courses, such as Climate Farm School and Digital Product Decarbonization, and an active job board. 

The ambassador program aims to nurture and grow local communities in cities across the globe, connecting previous and current fellows as well as job seekers.

I set up monthly meet-ups that have an intentional, impact-driven focus. Larger tentpole events bring together likeminded individuals from different communities where they can discuss their climate passions and solutions or simply connect with each other. We also have an active WhatsApp community group where members can seek advice, offer support, ask questions, share stories and so much more.  

Monthly meet-ups

I organise monthly meet-ups to encourage community members to connect and discuss climate solutions, at times in conjunction with other local climate communities.

Goals:

  • Encourage others to create organic connections.
  • Bringing together climate professionals, Terra.do alumni and current cohorts with jobseekers to share advice and tips to transition into the climate space (Climate Career Week '24).
  • Community building to enhance local areas.
  • Educational purpose.
  • Educating young children on climate issues.

Events range from mixers in a local venue to a more structured approach:

  • Informal social meet-ups.
  • Mixers.
  • Volunteer opportunities.
  • Speaker discussions and climate/biodiversity related workshops.
  • Family-friendly creative activities for young children.

Summer events

Tentpole summer events at an outdoor location, with backup locations in case of unfavourable weather 🙂 

Some events that I've organised

Climate Community Winter Party '23

Goal: End-of-year party in association with 7 climate communities in London.

Actions: Responsible for logo, design and physical assets.

Multi-workshop Meetup

Goal: A 3-hour series of interactive workshops to empower the community to take effective action as a citizen.

Actions: Communicating with venue and workshop facilitator, as well as invite creation and distribution amongst communities.
